The sun was just starting to set when Bulkhead alighted in the clearing. Shaking his wings out, he scented the air, finding nothing out of the ordinary. No other dragons around that meant him harm, but there was also nothing around to eat as his monstrous shadow had spooked everything within a few dozen meters of the clearing. He'd have to take flight to go hunting if his fueltank decided that he needed food.
Snorting, he shook himself again as a sweet scent filled his nostrils, playing with ancient instincts in a teasing manner.
"Is it clear?" a familiar, smooth voice called from the surrounding forest.
"It is," he called back. "No one around for miles."
The owner of the smooth voice let out a deep sigh of relief before emerging from the forest. Bulkhead's spark pulsated happily in his chest as he watched the slim gray form move towards him. The smaller dragon's sleek black wings trembled at his side as he approached, his aerodynamic head moving about in search of any assailant that might have slipped by Bulkhead's sharp nose. The bright red crest on his brow fluttered for a moment, feeling the wind for any sign of danger, before he bounded over to Bulkhead's side.
"Missed you," he murmured as Bulkhead started licking his gray hide. "Primus damn that brute to the Pits for making me late."
"Megatron's still causing trouble, for you, Screamer?" Bulkhead asked as he gently guided Starscream to the ground, resting a paw on his hip for protection."
"You know how little he approves of…us," the slim dragon grimaced before he rolled over so that Bulkhead's paw was on his stomach. "Honestly, you'd think I was a star-struck whelp after my first tail."
Bulkhead did not bother stopping the soft chuckle from rolling out of his throat. "Starscream, you know he is just being protective," he teased. "Besides, he hasn't arrived to tear me apart yet so he can't be too disapproving."
Starscream let out a low grumble as he flicked his tail back and forth. "Fair point," he growled before leaning up to lick at Bulkhead's jaw. "Enough talk about that brute though; I came here to spend time with you and I'll be slagged if I don't do just that."
Bulkhead purred contently under his lover's glossa, lowering his head. Starscream let out a low noise somewhere between a purr and a growl and snuggled closer to Bulkhead's chest. His dark red optics gazed up at Bulkhead, their depths enthralling Bulkhead's spark and mind.
Just as Bulkhead was going to lean in and nuzzle him, Starscream rolled to his feet and took off across the clearing. He let out a strange twitter as he did so, kicking his hind legs into the air as he moved back and forth in front of the trees. Bulkhead stared for a second, confused as to why his lover was acting so strangely, when that sweet scent entered his nostrils again.
He was on his feet in an instant, roaring a challenge to the sky as he chased Starscream. The smaller dragon trilled loudly, hopping onto his hind legs to slash at the air in front of Bulkhead's nose before he spun and charged into the undergrowth. Throwing a look over his shoulder to see if anyone had answer his challenge, Bulkhead roared again and sent a large volley of dark green fire into the air. Then he chased after his fleeing mate.

Trembling, Bulkhead focused on keeping his knees locked as the massive silver and red dragon loomed over him. Megatron's cold optics watched him as he guarded the entrance to the Decepticon caves. Soundwave stood at his flank, his cool purple optics actually twinkling in faint amusement as his leader held the Autobot so easily at bay.
The silent, purple dragon rested his head on Megatron's flank, exhaling gently as he blinked incredibly slowly. Megatron snorted in acknowledgement before he stepped aside.
"Go anywhere other than Starscream's nest and I will rip you tail off and beat you with it," Megatron warned.
Bulkhead nodded and swiftly moved past the older dragon. He could feel his red optics on him the entire way down the passage and it took every nerve in his chassis not to just bolt out of sight. Normally, he would not have feared the hulking bully, but the circumstances were different.
Stepping into the section of the caves that smelt solely of Starscream, he weaved his way through the tight walls until he found Starscream curled up in a rocky nest with his wing draped protectively across his side.
"Star?" Bulkhead asked softly as he moved closer.
"About time," Starscream huffed as he lifted his head and nipped at Bulkhead's jaw. "I thought they would hatch before you got here."
"Megatron's…."
"Being a protective aft, I know; you should hear the other's complaining about it," Starscream teased as he shifted his wing just enough for Bulkhead to see the two dark eggs beneath. "Not a word, understood?"
Nodding, Bulkhead lay down near Starscream's head and waited. He could hear the soft clicks of an egg-denta chipping away at the hard shell. There were tiny trembles in both eggs, but they were not yet close to hatching. Inhaling, Bulkhead prepared himself for a long wait, looking away only to clean Starscream's face as his gorgeous mate waited anxiously for their first brood to hatch.

Optimus sighed as he gazed out upon his river. The calm water rippled from a slight breeze, scattering the reflecting light of the setting sun. The red and blue god leaned back against the flat rock that made up his favorite resting place. One hand settled on his stomach, a slight bulge just beginning to show.
'What am I going to tell him?' Optimus thought. 'I don't know whether he'll want this or not. What am I going to do if he doesn't?'
The young River God winced at the thought of his mate being upset with him. He loved the large mech deeply and hated to do anything to displease him. He just hoped his mate wouldn't reject him. Though

The jungle was an uninviting place for a human. Filled with dangerous creatures from venomous serpents to ferocious insects, the dank rainforest was not a place for the unwary. Rising out of the greenery was a sturdy bridge. Crossing over the jungle river, the human structure was the only marker of the existence of any civilization in this area of the forest. Trudging across it was a short line of humans.
In the middle of this pitiful parade was a girl. She was of sixteen years, but her eyes had recently taken on the look of an old woman facing the end of h
